1. Our commitment
Tipda is a matrimony service for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form — on the app, on this website, or in any contact that starts here. This page sets out the standards we hold ourselves and our Members to, as required by the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and Indian law.
2. Adults only
- A Member must have reached the legal age for marriage in India — 18 for a woman, 21 for a man — and give their date of birth at registration. Profiles that do not meet this are not published.
- A parent or guardian may create a profile only for an eligible adult family member, never for a minor.
- Any profile that appears to belong to, or describe, a minor is removed and the account is closed.
3. Prohibited content and behaviour
The following lead to immediate removal, account closure and, where the law requires or allows, a report to the authorities:
- Any sexual content involving a minor, real or depicted, including text, photos, documents or links (child sexual abuse material, CSAM).
- Sexualising, grooming, soliciting, threatening or blackmailing a minor, or arranging to meet a minor for any sexual purpose.
- Advertising, requesting or sharing such material, or directing anyone to it.
- Trafficking, or presenting a minor as a prospective spouse.
4. How we prevent it
- Human review before publishing. Every profile, every photo and every later change is checked by our team before other Members can see it. Nothing goes live automatically.
- Verification by call. Contact numbers are verified by our team by phone before a Member can be contacted through the service.
- Private contact details. Phone numbers are never public; they are shown only to a verified Member who unlocks a profile, and both sides can block or report at any time.
- Admin controls. Our team can hold, hide or remove any account at once, and keeps the records needed to act on a report.
5. How to report
- In the app: open the profile and tap Report. Reports reach our team directly; the reported member cannot see who reported them.
- By email: tipda.in@gmail.com with the subject “Child safety”. Anyone may report, Member or not.
- We acknowledge every child-safety report within 24 hours and act on it as a priority: the content is removed, the account is closed, evidence is preserved, and the matter is reported to the appropriate authorities (in India, the police or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, cybercrime.gov.in) as required by law.
6. Laws we follow
We comply with applicable child-protection laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law-enforcement agencies.
